Gil Scot Heron Returns to Save the World

And no, that’s not a hyperbole. Gil Scot Heron is seriously magic.
While I was shocked a couple of days ago when I found out that Lucille Clifton had passed, finding out that Heron has released a new album on Feb. 9 makes the hurt a little easier to swallow.
While Mrs. Clifton’s death was a major tragedy, I’m New Here is a reminder that there are still some bright, creative stars out there, shining the good shine. (more…)
